You've misinterpreted Wilbur's comments.

He says Fehr has to work off the NHL's October 16th proposal for a new CBA.

Because the old CBA (a.k.a. the blueprint) doesn't work.

Bill Watters thinks the players should give the owners everything they are asking for with the players getting nothing in return. Bill also hates the Fehr brothers Stevey boy and the Donald!

The players should not have to give up everything they worked in past CBA's just because the NHL did not create a substaining business model.

You're probably right in fact I'd bet on it but there is a chance they may not. The stuff going on is a bit sketchy.

I like Bill Watters... very smart guy.

Very opinionated... but entertaining!!!!

I am still puzzled how owners sign off on contracts (legal) and expect the players to roll back the contract they signed to take less money. Why call it a contract in the first place. This makes you think teams like Minny spent almost two hundred million on two players probably expecting that there contracts would be rolled back and wouldn't have to pay them face value for there contract. Sorry I am with the players on this issue. Contract are negotiated and agreed to so honor it. It the Gm and owners fault for signing off on bad contracts. DP included.
